Quick answer
To complete PhilHealth online registration, fill in the PMRF, scan it with a valid ID, and send them through PhilHealth’s official online channel or email address. PhilHealth then issues your PhilHealth Identification Number (PIN) to the email you provided. The service is free.†

Ways to register for PhilHealth online

“Online registration” can mean different things, so it helps to know which one you need. If you have no PIN yet, you are enrolling as a new member. If you already have a PIN, you only need a Member Portal account, which is covered in the PhilHealth login guide.

Register by email

Send the accomplished PMRF, a valid ID and supporting papers to the PhilHealth address for your region or the Action Center.†

Official online facility

PhilHealth periodically opens online registration or app-based options such as the eGovPH platform. Availability changes.†

Through your employer or agency

Employees register through HR, and sea-based OFWs through their manning agency.
Only use the official PhilHealth website or emails ending in gov.ph. PhilHealth has warned the public about lookalike .com and .net sites.

Before you start: what to prepare

Preparation decides how fast this goes. Read the complete PhilHealth requirements checklist for your member type, then gather:

PhilHealth registration by email: step-by-step

  1. 1Download and complete the PMRF. Use capital letters and mark the form as Registration. Sign it and add the date.
  2. 2Scan or photograph the form and your ID. Keep files clear, complete and under the size limit of your email.
  3. 3Find the correct address on the official PhilHealth website. Your regional office or the Action Center will list it.†
  4. 4Use the subject format PhilHealth asks for. A widely used pattern is: Register, then your full name, city or province, and region.†
  5. 5Attach everything and send from the email address you wrote on the PMRF. PhilHealth replies to that address.
  6. 6Wait for the acknowledgement and your PIN. Keep the sent message and any reference number.
  7. 7Verify your record after you receive your PIN and print or save your Member Data Record (MDR).

PhilHealth online registration for self-employed members and freelancers

Freelancers, business owners and other self-earning individuals must declare income on the PMRF. Your first premium is based on it, so gather proof such as a PRC ID, business permit or other document and mention your profession clearly.†

PhilHealth registration for OFW online: land-based and sea-based

Land-based OFWs can usually send their PMRF, ID, passport and proof of employment electronically, using the OFW-specific address on the official site.† Sea-based OFWs generally register through the manning agency.
  • Include your overseas job details on the PMRF so the right member type is assigned.
  • Consider authorizing a relative in the Philippines for anything that needs an in-person visit.

  • Never share OTPs or passwords, and never send your documents to social media accounts.

Get a PhilHealth number online: what to expect

Your PhilHealth PIN online arrives as a 12-digit number, usually in the email address you wrote on the PMRF or inside your Member Data Record (MDR). It is unique and permanent. Write it down, save it in a secure note and give it to HR if you are employed.

PIN

The permanent number for every PhilHealth transaction.

MDR

A record of your details and dependents that you can print.

Confirmation email

Keep it as proof of when and how you registered.
